The Music Recording/Production Certificate is designed as a four semester program to provide the technical skills and theoretical background for a career in the music recording/music production field. The certificate requires a total of 31-32 units of required courses and restricted electives with a minimum grade of "C" in each course taken.

Program Level Student Learning Outcomes

Outcome 1: Understand and apply signal flow of the Recording Process on a real analog recording console as well as in a DAW. Outcome 2: Write music in a variety of musical genres and is able to record individual components of his or her compositions.
