The High School Outreach Program
The Music Department at Fullerton College is keenly interested in having high school and junior high school students visit the Fullerton College campus to learn first hand about our national class music program.
The department hosts 18-20 high schools in a Choral Festival in November, a Piano Ensemble Festival in January, 175 high schools from all over the Western United States in our Jazz Festivals in the Spring. Two private music festival companies (The Forum Festival and the Heritage Music Festival bring additional thousands of junior high and high school performers to the campus in the Spring. Personal and group tours of our facilities are also possible.
The Music Department is committed to making visits to local schools to provide enrichment to the high school and junior high music programs. The Music faculty frequently volunteer to adjudicate school competitions and festivals, provide clinics, and bring their performance groups to area schools. The faculty frequently conduct honor choirs and honor bands.
The Fine Arts division also offers a high school theatre festival and a high school art show.
