About the event

The Brass Choir has grown from a quintet to over 20 musicians in the past several years. Consisting of trumpet, french horn, trombone, bass trombone, euphonium, tuba and percussion players, this active and enthusiastic group of intermediate-through-advanced level Brass students is well-known on and off campus for its highly varied, high-quality and enjoyable concerts. The ensemble rehearses and performs music from the Renaissance and classical periods through modern and pop, and has frequently offered a chance for student and professional composers and arranges to showcase their latest works. The Brass Choir also offers opportunities to perform in a number of "off-shoot", smaller, extra-curricular student ensembles, including the Olympus Brass Quintet, the Trumpet Ensemble, the Fullerton French Horn Club, the Trombone Troupe, and the unique and entertaining Barbershop Brass Singers, a 12-person vocal ensemble comprised of both male and female members of the Brass Choir.
