North Atlantic Jazz Alliance to Perform at Fullerton College on October 7th, 2008! (September 24, 2008, Fullerton CA.) The North Atlantic Jazz Alliance, one of the world’s premiere intercontinental modern Jazz Ensembles is reuniting for a brief round of special Southern California performances celebrating the release of their newest CD and commemorating 400 years of German heritage in the US. The ensemble features Germany’s leading Tenor sax player Peter Weniger and best selling Jazz Vocalist Michael Schiefel together with Marshall Hawkins (bass player for Miles Davis), Fullerton College faculty Jim Linahon (trumpet player for Frank Sinatra), Bill Yeager (Trombone for Aretha Franklin), Paul Kreibich (drums for Ray Charles), and founder/ director, instructor Fullerton College Markus Burger (piano for Kenny Wheeler). The Show will be opened by the Fullerton College Art Ensemble directed by Dr. Joe Jewell.
