Dr. Michelle Coletta

Assistant Professor of Music Theory and Woodwinds

Dr. Michelle Coletta is a new Assistant Professor of Music Theory and Woodwinds at Fullerton College. Previous teaching positions include Oklahoma Baptist Universty, University of Central Oklahoma, and Cameron University. She was Principal Second Clarinetist with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic for three seasons, and Principal Clarinetist with the Lawton Philharmonic for three seasons. Her Doctorate of Musical Arts is from The University of Minnesota, and her Masters of Music and Bachelors of Music are from The Hartt School at the University of Hartford, CT. She was recipient of the Outstanding Faculty Award at Cameron University, and a PEO scholar while pursuing her doctorate. She has done on-call work with the Minnesota Orchestra, Waterbury Symphony, New Britian Symphony, and Binghamton Symphony, and has attended the Festival at Sandpoint, Waterloo Music Festival, and Le Mont Wind Seminar. Along with teaching and performing, Miss Coletta enjoys composing, improvising, camping, photography, hiking, rollerblading, and cooking.
